The Wolseley 1500 was produced by Wolseley from 1957 until 1965. It utilised the Morris Minor floorpan, suspension and steering but was fitted with the larger 1,489 cc (90.9 cu in) B-Series engine and MG Magnette gearbox.
The Series III was introduced in October 1961, featuring revisions to the grille and rear lights.
In October 1962 the cars received the more robust crank, bearing and other details of the larger 1,622 cc unit now being fitted in the Austin Cambridge and its “Farina” styled clones. Unlike the Farina models, however, the Wolseley 1500 retained the 1,489cc engine size with which it had been launched back in 1957.

Craner Classics are delighted to offer this absolutely outstanding Wolseley 1500 finished in Birch Grey with Burgundy leather interior.

The paintwork is immaculate with a deep shine and the chromework is outstanding with no pitting at all, even the door handles are excellent.

The interior of the car is finished in deep burgundy leather seats and door cards along with beautiful wooden door cappings and dashboard. The carpets are also finished in a similar colour to the leather interior.

In 1982 the car was extensively restored with the restoration taking the best part of a year to complete.

The car has an array of rosettes and plaques mounted on wooden boards showing just how well it has done at lots of car shows, a testament to its amazing condition.

It comes complete with an assortment of original documents including the owners handbook, stamped passport to service and sales brochures.
