Austin A30 Seven

VIN Chassis No.: AS4177176
First registered: 1956

The A30 Seven is a version of the popular A-Series small family car, very popular in the 1950s and much beloved for its cuteness today. These Austin A30 Sevens were state of the art cars in their time, thanks to the newly-designed fuel-efficient A-series engine, Lockheed fully hydraulic front brakes and independent front coil springs.

Easy to park and fun to drive, this particular A30 Seven features the now very desirable retro Palm Green bodywork, in very nice order, and complemented by the well-preserved chromework trim.

This is the five-door version, which is always a plus in a smaller car, and the interior is very tidy with freshly-fitted made-to-measure carpets and a real quirky instrument cluster and dashboard. It really has a character all of its own, and is great fun to drive in.

The car has a good-performing 800cc engine and four-speed manual gearbox, which they perform very spiritedly, zipping along at more than 60mph with ease, and Austin A30s were quite successful in the 1950s with saloon car racing. They are not only very economical to run but also very cheap to insure as a classic car, and of course as a classic there is no road tax to pay. A magical car all round.
